Catachan

Catachan is by far the most lethal and unreasonably dangerous planet in the entire galaxy. everything on this planet wants to Brutally murder you, From the smallest plant, to the largest Catachan Devil. This place is so dangerous that its doesn't requires it own planetary defense force as the local Flora and Fauna can more than easily dispatch any Invader.

Geography

Catachan Geographical locations are mostly jungles with a few volcanoes dotting around. The jungles are so impossibly thick that not even flamethrowers can burn even 1% of it before running out of fuel. The jungle also seems to be… alive? because many reports claim to see the trees “ watching them” and unleashing wildlife upon Them.

Ecosystem

Catachan Ecosystem is hellish, everything on the planet is geared towards killing, From the trees to the animals, everything is geared towards Slaughter and Mayhem. Everyday countless creatures die, Which fertilizes the plants, then the plants get devoured, and the cycle continues. Sometimes the cycle even gets a boost In the form of off-world Invaders.

Localized Phenomena

Catachan as a whole seems to be in some sort of weird state of… consciousness? This theory is semi-proven due to the fact that seemingly anytime a major civilization attempts to colonize the planet, all living creatures on the Planet mobilize to destroy them. This has been shown to be extra volatile when Invaders come, In that case the creatures seem to be Whipped into some sort of bloodlust frenzy.

Climate

Even the weather on Catachan Wants to kill you, Absolutely apocalyptic storms ravish the planet, With impossibly large tornadoes, hurricanes, and thunderstorms rain down Hellfire.

Fauna & Flora

Catachan flora and fauna is by far the most dangerous thing on the planet, there's simply too many dangerous creatures to list but the most famous of which are these.
Catachan devil: Most famous of all the creatures on the planet are the Catachan devil, These creatures are larger than whales with enough power to cause tanks to explode on impact with one of it's strikes, their armored body can survive bombardments of tank Rounds and not show any signs of damage
Drakebats: These Ogryn-sized, winged, pseudo-reptiles that lurk amongst the upper canopy of the equatorial jungles of Catachan, descending from the treetops to ambush and devour unsuspecting prey.
Catachan Barking Toads: although appearing benign and harmless, the Great Barking Toads are arguably Catachan's deadliest animals: the creatures are easily startled and, whenever they feel threatened, explode in a cloud of toxins which kills and liquefies anything within a one kilometer radius, including the Barking Toad itself. The toxin is virulent enough that even respirators and sealed suits such as power armor offer no protection. They are known as the most toxic creatures in the galaxy.
