Faye Mind

Fae mind is a condition brought on when non fairfolk creatures consume certain food or drink which has been infused with fae magic. This magic causes the consumer to become docile and besotted with the one who offers them the food. Fae food is strictly prohibited to be used on humans in the Kingdom of Enther but it has been known from time to time. If the food is consumed willingly and knowingly, the fairfolk can not be held in contempt by the crown as the host has taken this willingly.   It is said during the The War for Aigea that Balor, King of the Fairfolk used fruits to trick followers of the Ancient Entherians to help infiltrate strong holds and was a crucial part in getting information to help them defeat the tyrannical race.

Treatment

In order to remove this magic, they must be released by a member of the fairfolk or alternativley some Magic Users who are human are able to release this if they have knowledge of Faye Magic.

Affected Groups

Faye Mind only affects humans, This is because they are suscepible to Faye Magic and their bodies are not built to sustain it.    Animals can also be affected by Faye Mind, and this is one of the ways how the fairfolk control beast and creatures during the War of Iron.

Cultural Reception

Though a rarely used form of magic, the preconceived prejudice of the treachery of Fairfolk has resulted in humans using stories of fairfolk using this magic to lure away naughty children and unfaithful husbands as folklore tales, furthering the misconeption that the fairfolk cannot be trusted.
