Communion of the Five

The Communion of the Five is a religious tradition for those who worship Church of the Five. It acts as a "coming of age" ceremony. The communion revolves around children at the age of fourteen pledging their allegiance to carry out the word of the five and be fully accepted into the Church.   The ceremony happens once every six months and a church or cathedral in the settlements. Some smaller villages which do not have such buildings are visited by travelling fathers who will carry out the ceremony.     The ceremony has three main components; Cleansing, Committing and Communion.    The Cleansing - The initiates are bathed in a pool or river by the father, who says a prayer before washing away the sins of the child as they enter their new life into adulthood. All their mistakes of their childhood are forgiven in exchange for their piety.   The Committing - The initiate then says a prayer in front of the attendees, choosing one of the four eligible heroes to give their worship to. They cut their hand and poor their blood into the lite brasiers representing each hero.    The Communion - The final part of the ceremony. The initiates are blessed by the father
