Battle of the Dead Planets
The Conflict
Prelude
There had been years of tension between these two planets, even though they were classified as dead planets due to their inactivity. The political strain was stronger than ever between the civilisations inhabiting these dead planets.
Deployment
At some point on government pulled the trigger and set their armies into space between the planets, trying to push the other side to make a move first. This trick worked, and the opposite side made the first move, thinking they were making the move in response to an already attacked fleet of ships.
Battlefield
The battlefield was space between these two dead planets, but as other planets and alliances joined the fight it grew to outside of the solar system of these two planets.
Conditions
The conditions were relatively fair, both sides were equal in people power and also in terms of their agreements to end the war---but no one wanted to agree to them because it didn't suit their need for blood.
Outcome
Many millions of species died, planets were abandoned and orbits were ruined.
Aftermath
Political determination for the whole solar system of the dead planets, millions of people lots their homes, families and status within their own solar systems because of the sides they choose in the battle.
Historical Significance
History doesn't write all the truths of these events if history is coming from a side-biased place. The Archive has recorded the facts of both sides in their database.Legacy
One of the most violent battles in the galaxy in 90 billion years, and the only battle of its size having The Archive interfere with.
In Literature
Most of the literature about this battle isn't very flattering or forgiving, there wasn't a bad or good side to this battle.
