The flying whale

The flying whale is a tavern for adventurers, it lets people rest up and live comfortably. It specialized in seafood but is perhaps most famous for its shrimp toast, the shrimp is prepared with mayonnaise, green onions a few secret ingredients and of course lots and lots of shrimp. The taverns walls are covered with drawings of fish, fishermen and fishing rods(some of which possibly are magical). It has 20 rooms that comprise 2 full two-floored buildings with the suites being directly above, these either fit more people or are for more powerful individuals.
Since it was founded in 489 TE business has been blooming other than a little accident during the first year. Both travellers and locals alike consider this to be the best that River's Reach has to offer and it has even been a temporary home to an Archmage from The Arcane Alliance.

Drinks and Food

Drink:

• Brandis' Brandy: Named after a famous pirate captain, this brandy is cut with seawater, and the barrels it is aged in are submerged in the sea for a year before it is served to the patrons. (4sp/cup)
• Elyrian Wine, Wine made from grapes farmed around Phala'mor (10gp/bottle)
• Dwarvish mead (1sp/cup)

Food:

• Fish and Potatoes, locally caught cod that was dipped in egg and coated in flour. Then deep-fried and served with mashed potatoes spiced with thyme (1gp)
• Shrimp toast, lots of shrimp with mayonnaise, green onions and more on rye bread. (7sp)

Design

The restaurant consists of a bar, an inside and outside to enjoy the port if the weather allows it. The rooms of both tavern buildings are well decorated and people will always sleep well there. All rooms at least have small windows and suites have balconies where one can enjoy a late-night drink or read.
