River's Reach

Demographics

The people of River's Reach are farmers, traders and fisherman. The racial demographics are pretty varied as this a gathering place and a great port city. Humans, elves, halflings, gnomes and many more have learned to live in harmony and today that social justice is protected by law.

Government

The government consists of a committee of many respected artisans or merchants but the biggest force on the council is the iron-willed human named Morgan Rockwell.

Defences

The town is known for its magical port which only opens to ships bearing River's Reach's flag. The gate is connected to a wall that reaches 15 metres into the sky. The wall is made up of cobblestone which is reinforced with steel at the towers. Other than the oceanic gate adventurers can get into the town through the eastern gate. This gate is opened at dawn and is closed at nightfall, the gate is always guarded. On the day at the ground level and at night guards patrol the walls. On a nearby hill one can also sometimes spot a young copper dragon simply watching ships as they pass by.

Industry & Trade

The town is the coast's trade centre and connects Elyria to Vallaheim. Its biggest export is fish and it is a major supplier in the entire continent. It also exports meat and other wares to Elyria, more specifically to Phala'mor.

Infrastructure

While there are many ports in the city the biggest one is Stonesalt Harbour. It rallies the largest trade ships and houses the more wealthy travellers. The edge of the dock is mostly frequented by fishermen, mostly hanging around the Canmier Piers. There you can find smaller boats and galleys and smaller fish markets typically run by individual fishermen.
