The Secret Truth

The Secret Truth refers to the little known fact that the universe that Ora exists in contains no other star systems, no galaxies, or stars, celestial bodies of any kind. It is an infinitely vast void without end. the New Gods of Empyrean have concealed this fact from the inhabitants of Ora with an illusory tapestry of stars, wrapped around the planet by Ashtar as a gift for Ishtar the goddes of night.

The gods themselves have no idea why this is the case, because they were not here when the Universe was created and so can only speculate. The meaning of this Secret Truth is ambiguous at best. Some have speculated that whatever Demiurge created the universe did so on a lark, or as a practice run before moving on to some more complex work. Or perhaps the universe, and Ora were created as a battle ground to settle some dispute between two such beings. Perhaps the universe is a testing environment, designed to limit variables, but what could be being tested is unknown.
