Lady

A landholding noble directly from the Crown or more rarely from a vassal of a vassal. However, even ones who hold their claim from the Crown can be subordinate to another noble often an Eorl or Eorlas.

Note that 'Lady' is also the title for any noblewoman who is married to a landholding noble or has land in her own right.
