Heltower

The Heltower is an ancient fortification that bears an enchanted bell at its apex. It was a gift from WIZARD/ENCHANTRESS over two centuries ago to aid in warning the Sword Coast of raiders from the Sea of Winds. It had another name until, as local tales go, that a former Eorl of Swords came howling out of Brynhold with his warband and laid siege to the tower despite the pleas from inside. When asked why he was attacking them, he replied "...that damned bell does nothing but make my life hell." Henceforth, it has been known as the Heltower.

The enchanted bell, affectionately known as "Hel's Bell", can be heard up and down the Sword Coast although its sound does not cross the channel to Lower Aenar.
