Bannerlord

A Bannerlord is a landholding noble who has been granted their land from another noble and not the Crown. These lands are often sufficient to support, at a minimum, a Lance consisting of four other mounted knights. A Bannerlord gains the right to a pennant or banner that they and their followers bear on lances and standards.

Note that 'Lord' is still the proper title for a Bannerlord although 'Lord-Knight' and 'Knight-Lord' are often used as well.
