About Minor Gods and Deities

Beyond the Major Gods of Saraella, Alleniel, Daemaskorn, Torach, Malavach, Thaemenar, Vyshareth, and The Lord of Games are a number of minor deities and demigods that exist in the Emergent Plane.
As they were not present at the creation of the Emergent Plane, the origin of each of these individuals varies. Some were created spontaneously through centralized worship of a concept by one of the mortal races, and are a belief or idea given form. Others are the offspring of a Major God and a mortal. Others still were born as mortals but were gifted (or cursed) with divine power by one of the Major Gods and appointed to their Demigod status through apotheosis. 
Regardless, all of these minor deities possess power beyond that of mortals and receive worship from one or more mortal races for what they represent. Many of them act as patron gods to a particular mortal race, while others are not tied to a specific race and are prayed to by those of a particular lifestyle. While all the races recognize the Major Gods in some capacity (although often having differing views on what a Major God represents), this is not so with minor deities. Some races might praise and glorify a minor deity while others do not acknowledge the divine status of that same deity whatsoever.
This can largely be attributed to the tendency of minor deities to be more active in the Emergent Plane than Major Gods. Most of the Major Gods do not directly interact with the mortal races or personally traverse the Emergent Plane, preferring to remain in their own plane and steering the direction of the world from afar. Minor deities, however, do not possess the ability to planeshift at will like the Major Gods, and so they often exist in some physical form within the Emergent Plane. Those that have direct ties to a particular Major God can enter and exit the plane of their associated Major God freely, and thus often choose to reside in that god's dimension, but others take an active part in the events of the Emergent Plane (albeit usually in some form of disguise).
