Lesser Families

The lesser families represent the majority of the Xenon Leagues members. Their common membership with the more powerful families provides, in theory, a more level playing field in the constant politicking for territory and treasure. As is more often the case, the lesser families support one of the great families, or form political coalitions to retain power and curry favor.
The lesser families usually have a particular trade or industry that they are renowned for. Often these families were the first to establish themselves as experts in a needed field during the emerald lands early years, but in the Emerald Lands new opportunities for fame and glory promise adventuring souls the chance to build their own dynasty.
