The Kaserites
The Kaserites are a religious sect primarily found in the Lyssian penninsula. They follow the old Lyssian pantheon, most of which are now dead or lost deities.
Followers of the sect became known as Kaserites, after the Lyssian city Kaseri where the movement first took hold, but in private and during their rituals, referred to themselves as Children of Lyss, for the dead god the region and culture were named for.
Cosmological Views
Lyssian cosmology identified two creator deities. The first, Lyss, was the creator of the spiritual realm where souls and angelic beings existed, while the second was Selvans, who created the physical universe.
The Kaserites characterised the duality of creation as a relationship between hostile opposing forces of good and evil. Some Kaserite communities believed in a mitigated dualism, stating that Selvans had previously been Lyss' servant before rebelling against him.
