A dualistic symbol used by Isarin and Maeld as a representation of their sovereignty over the seasons. When worn by Maeld it is known as the Crown of Dusk and represents the drawing down of the seasons.

Holidays
The autumn equinox and winter solstice are Maeld's most holiest days. One tradition holds that at dusk on the winter solstice Maeld places the Crown of Dawn on the head of his wife, Isarin, Goddess of Spring and Summer, giving the new year to her to nurture and grow.

While he is the very embodiment of autumn and winter, Maeld is not a malevolent god. He, along with the other gods worshipped by the descendants of the Ynis Môrr, seeks to maintain the harmony of the natural world.
