Valenwood

Dearest Reader, Valenwood is the home to the wood elves, the people who call themselves Bosmer. It is a land of untamed wilds, and trees that dwarf even the Direnni Tower. Rainforests both tropical and temperate, swamplands, and more, the land is varied but nearly all of it is occupied by a diversity of plant and animal life unlike that found elsewhere in Tamriel.

This is largely due to the strange Bosmeri reluctance to disturb or disrupt the natural environment, a belief which forms part of the so called 'Green Pact'.
