Session 6: The Forlorn Peaks Report
General Summary
The session began with the party receiving some more information about the masquerade ball occurring in a few days. They were told it would be formal and that Djinnferno and Aes are recommended to pose as bodyguards due to their large and conspicuous nature. He said he would give them more information the next time they come to him or before they head to the ball.
After, they went on a bit of a shopping spree which lead them around the city to different and unique shops. They later found themselves at the abode of Lenna and Blaine, with only the latter being at home. He slowly let them in, further being tormented by half the party, and showed them a map which resides in their home which contained the information for the location of the Forlorn Peaks and the apparent abandoned outpost of the Draconians.
The party soon set off towards the Forlorn Peaks, and as night drew on, they found themselves basking in the moonlight of both Mannslieb and Morrslieb. Soon they encountered small creatures, feasting on a fresh carcass which had been killed by acid. Nearing night, they arrived at the Forlorn Peaks where they made their way to the top of the unnatural spine which seemed to have erupted from the ground. At the top, they solves a puzzle which allowed them to enter the hideout of the Draconians.
At the end of the dungeon, they found a large, silvery-blue version of the normal foot-soldier Draconians they have normally fought, shaking hands with a figure in a red cloak which rested on its shoulders, wearing an iron mask too. The battle began with Aes bravely running into the middle of the enemy lines, with her allies close behind dealing with the enemies she had ran past. The battle was close and rough, but the party dealt with the Draconians, leading to a mass retreat in their lines as their leader escaped.
The session ended with the party resting and tending to their wounds back to Helmgart.
