The Planar Conquest was a horrendous conflict that marked the founding of the empire. There was no barrier preventing planar incursion, so denizens of nearly every plane entered the material. Some for it to serve as their playground, a place to behave as they wished, others to conquer. It was time of horror and subjugation for the mortal of the material plane. The thirteen nations that made up the continent live in constant fear, doing their best to defend or hide. Things seemed hopeless, that things would continue this way for eternity or end permanentlyfor all. The true details of this conflict are only known by the most ancient of beings and studied scholars, and the current imperial regime does their best to limit general education in the populace, and stop them from knowing the details of the Planar conquest.   This is what is known by the general populace; the planar conquest came to an end thanks to the hero Elatonia and her companions. She led the effort to bring the thirteen nations under one banner. She negotiated an alliance with most powerful of creatures from the material plane, the dragons, to help them push back the planar trespassers. The effort was succesful, victory was achieved and the Elatonian Empire created. The banishing of the planes, and formation of the veil was tied to the founding of the empire.
