Volvodya Confederation
A people of many tribes, the Erleting have never been particularly united. Sure, there have been warlords (the fearsome Dragan Ivar' but one of many), would-be conquerors, petty kings and trumped-up chieftains, but the mighty confederations formed during the Fall of Oleandron are but a memory. Choked under the weight of the years, unity fading in the sparse and largely isolated highland communities, crushed by the machinations of the Rodłowi a thousand years before, there are few among the Erleting who place much stock in confederations.

History
The story of the Volvodya confederation begins much like the rest of the Erleting- hemmed in and pressed on every side, their future dimming as the years continue. The Volvodyan people, much like the Rudtmen, were one of the main targets of the Blazennian Empire and the Kingdom of Spólństawo during the Dennonian wars, which saw one in ten of the tribes either conquered or forced to flee. Sure, the Blazennian Empire set aside the small Count-Imperialdom of Karrunhall for the Volvodyans, but most of the land was given over to Blazennian settlers.
The resulting migrations and skirmishes would probably have erupted into open war among the Volvodyans, if not for the simple fact that one more war like this and they would be a subject people. Their defeat had provided a spark, one of unity. Finally, in 1981, after 7 years of meetings, planning, careful negotiations between tribes, the Confederation was founded. Of course, the young confederation was not able to unite every Volvodya; the Gaugwuan in particular have been a thorn in their side. Still, over the past 19 years, they have slowly brought their superior numbers to bear, subsuming by conquest or diplomacy the remaining neutral tribes. Sure, they may not be able to stand up to a united Blazennia, but the Empire is anything but united as of now, giving ample opportunity for the confederation to grow, yet unchecked.
