Tcetin

The Tcetin are the monkey-like humanoid natives of Cet'aenn, who have ruled over the western portion of the continent for generations. The Tcetin take on the appearance of most monkey species, excluding the mandrill and baboon species, with human-like aspects. The most common are the spider-monkey variants who make up around 60% of the population. The Tcetin were known for have rich culture and created many of the philosophical beliefs that are now prominent on Mortvuug and An'seidna. They built grand temples of worship in the Wei-Uen Mountains and in the river valleys. The Tcetin are one of the most unified in culture and religion with very little variation between the different clans. Despite this the Tcetin are almost always at war due to their strict honor codes and righteous beliefs.

Civilization and Culture

History

The Tcetin have a long and storied history spanning back thousands of years. In ancient times the Tcetin were credited with building marvelous monasteries made of stone in Mei-Uen mountains with beautiful artworks filling them. The Tcetin were a very spiritual people often look to the wisdom of the gods for guidance. They also built grand cities that were rich in culture. These cities are said to be so uniquely beautiful that even the Elves marveled at their grandeur. Unfortunate the Tcetin were always at war with one another. There have been hundreds of wars throughout their history for one reason or another being for power or simple slight to a clan's honor. The Tcetin also often went to war their neighbors, the Humans and Elves, as they saw these races as intruders on their land. The Tcetin were successful in pushing the humans to the island of Uragiri, but were not as successful with the Elves.
