Raqshani
The Raqshani are a seminomadic race of cambion on Cet'aenn that are said to be spurned by the gods, for their ancestors had harbored the enemy and slept with them. The Raqshani look like humans with elf-like ears and most have a carmel skin tone. They typically have dark hair ranging from a dark brown to jet black. Their eyes are typically a bright violet or crimson though some have pale gold. The Raqshani have tattoos on their body with religious symbols, the reason they do this, according to their shaman, is in hopes of gaining the gods' favor back. The Raqshani's appearance changes once they are filled with bloodlust or on the brink of death. Their new form takes on the appearance of demon, with a beastly face and sharp canines, they sprout bat-like wings and grow claws, and their eyes and veins begin to glow a fiery orange giving them a most menacing appearance.
Civilization and Culture
History
During the days of the Divine War demons were sent to aid the human followers of Kyvos in battle but the humans and demons soon had children that became the Raqshani. When the war ended the Raqshani were left to the desert abandoned by both demons and gods, soon they grew to hate their conception and their ancestors who betrayed the gods so they vowed to be nomads to never have home as self punishment. They wondered the desert for thousands of years surviving off the land and by trading with Tcetin and High Elves. Eventually some time in the 1600s the first Raqshani settlement was made and steadily grew into a thriving community, others followed suit creating small nations on the borders of the desert with help from some of the Tcetin that were traveling to the dark region on the continent. While the vast majority of Raqshani are still nomadic those that live within the Raqshani nations have become important information hubs for the Humans and High Elves on what happens on the dark region of the continent.
