Overview of Ærellion

Ærellion is a supermassive continent situated at the heart of the Old World, stretching for over 30,950,000 square miles (80.2 million square kilometers). Due to its massive size and location, it is also colloquially known as the Main Continent or the Giga Continent. Ærellion is notable for its wildly varying terrains and climates, and is unsurprisingly also a mixed magical zone, with its largest magical zone being larger than the continent of An'seidna. Due to the array of different climates and consequentially lifestyles, it is hard to generalize the diverse people of Ærellion outside of that fact, though Humans, Elves, and Centaurs hold political control over the majority of the continent. Ærellion, as the central most continent, is a hub of trade, and many parts of the continent have reached what could be considered a late renaissance period, though others remains tribal and undeveloped. Ærellion has, for a long time, been dominated by large and powerful empires, but in the last few centuries these mighty powers have largely crumbled, giving rise to new polities and conflicts which define the continent's political scene today. Despite the continent's central position, or perhaps because of it, Ærellion has a long history of colonization from other continents, with Minotaurs, Gnomes, and Elves all claiming parts of the continent as their own despite not originating there.
