Mage Guilds

Types of Mage Guilds:
  • archaelogical: magical artifact, recovery, translation of ancient texts, etc (often employed by the state or scholars, not the general public)
  • combat: wizard mercenaries/protectors (almost always states, companies, nobles)
  • mundane: generic, usually low level spells for common needs (general public, usually more middle class or adventurers)
  • magical creatures/beasts: capture, containment and breeding (other wizards, rich merchants, nobles)
  • artificers: magical equipment, tools, weapons, armor, gadgets, etc (adventurers, other wizards, nobles, states on low level)
  • alchemist: potions, golems, transmutation (everyone)
