Kingdom of Habagyeo
The Kingdom of Habagyeo is a nation of tremendous history and fortitude. The fact it still stands today is a testament to the grit and determination of its citizens. Founded in 96 S.C. by remnants of the former Wanyun of Auwaejo, Habagyeo broke off from the Kingdom of Suoyeong, who were their rivals for reunifying the state. However, Habagyeo quickly dropped this claim, merely remaining a small kingdom on the eastern bank of the [tbd] river for almost 700 years. Eventually, they pushed across the river and defeated the centaur invaders, who had claimed the western bank since the fall of the Wanyun of Saewan in 506. This greatly expanded their land area, and they leveraged this to assist in the partition of the Kingdom of Suoyeong in 802 (having done nothing and simply vulturing the remnants). This earned them the enmity of the future Wanyun of Gyeowai, but that state was unable to ever subjugate them, as they remained staunch in their defense, though several borderlands were lost before Gyeowai became Wanyun and was too busy to attack them. These lost lands have never been retaken since. Habagyeo reamained a small kingdom through Gyeowai's reign as Wanyun, but once that state fell they were able to advance west once more. Alas, the massive invasion of centaurs in [tbd] crushed them, once again pushing them back to the river (in the south). Their northwestern territories have thus far remained under control of the kingdom, but if the centaurs remain strong these lands will probably be lost eventually.
