Holy Empire of Maurcigon
The Holy Empire of Maurcigon was established by Pomponius the Man, following his usurpation of the Kingdom of Maurcigon. This new state has persisted after the death of Pomponius and is considered a pariah state by the Voðeren of the Þaru Isles.
Culture
The Mauronians of the Empire have an incredibly religious culture. As such, their culture now consists heavily of ritual cannibalism and other such despicable practices. This culture has further reinforced the divide between the Mauronians and their Voðeren neighbors, with both fighting on sight and considering the other as savages or food, respectfully.
History
The Kingdom of Maurcigon was one of the first casualties of the Telgren Time of Troubles. Already, it had been struggling to deal with the Voðeren raids which had increased in frequency to their growing power and population. As the last native country of the Þaru Isles, the Kingdom of Maurcigon was both the closest and easiest target for such raiders.
