Earth Elementia

Elementia that are born into the earth element are known as Earth Elementia and they are considered to be best practitioners of Earth style magic due to them being born with the Earth element inside them and just like the rest of the Elementia they can’t teach their ways to others due to their innate abilities. Earth Elementias are by far the most widespread of the Elementia covering most of the largest of the islands know as Ven Larrati. The Earth Elementias are split into two main groups the Tree Elementia and Rock Elementia. The Tree Elementia or Spriggans are humanoid trees with different shades of bark, their eyes are a green or emerald color, their “hair” are twigs or branches that form a weird looking crown atop their head. The Tree Elementias mating ritual is to create a runic circle, sit down, and entangle their roots, all while their core is exposed. While it sound rather cut and dry it is quite the spectacle to watch, while their cores are exposed the area in the circle begins to glow, plants begin to sprout up and the magic that gathers just above them is the most beautiful thing to witness, you see the flow of magic and not just form the Elementias, you see the flow of magic from the different plants and animals. The mating ritual for the Spriggans are done in the spring and typically at night or at dawn. When a Tree Elementia reaches the end of its life it will go to an area that has a concentration of magic that is attuned to its core and then it will stand in spot of its choosing, rooting itself there, before it releases the magical energy from its core, the Elementia will then become a lifeless husk eventually growing into a tree that will still bear some features of that Elementia. The Rock Elementia are giant humanoid boulders held together with roots growing out of them connecting the different body parts together. The Rock Elementia also have ancient symbols carved on different parts of their body, though the alchemical symbol for earth is always carved on their chest or head. The Rock Elementias typically keep to themselves up in the mountains but will come off their mountains to stop conflicts between the other Elementias though often times they are driven away by the others because the other Elementia believe them to be simply minded. These Rock Elementia's mating ritual is a bit different than their tree brethren, the Rock Elementias create a runic circle and then they begin to fight with their cores exposed and every time they hit each other magic is released above them gathering into a small spherical shape and this mating “duel” will typically last for about 4-6 hours or until the new Elementia is full formed. The Gnomes wondered how these Rock Elementias had not killed themselves since their cores were considered to be extremely vulnerable and Rock Elementias don’t pull any punches, it was eventually chalked up to that these Rock Elementias were so extremely tough that it would take more than one direct blow to their cores to kill them. The mating ritual for the Rock Elementia are done in the winter due to them typically living atop snowy peaks. When a Rock Elementia reaches the end of its life it will travel to a mountain clearing and create a small circle from its own body parts until it is just the head and torso left, the way it then moves around is to use the roots that are still attached as legs. Once the Elementia reaches the center of the circle it roots itself into the ground and releases the power of its core, which ends up creating what is known as a Stone Barrier Grove. It is said that the Will-o'-the-wisps that guard the these groves are actually the residual energy from the Rock Elementia's core.
