A reptilian like race that are said to be cousins of the Lizard-Folk, though these claims are unconfirmed, they have a greyish scaly skin, they have a yellow-amber eye color, and their most distinct feature is that they have four arms. Their face is also odd for a reptilian race cause it has a more human look to it, meaning that instead of having lizard/crocodilian looking snout they have a flatter face with no nose, only two slits for their nostrils, they also have weird tusk-like things jetting out from the Ramus of the lower jaw to the chin. They are extremely spiritual race, believing that those that who did great deed in their life went on to become gods and because of this belief their burial grounds are extremely sacred, therefore any caught on the grounds uninvited or those that commit the crime of grave robbing are sentenced to death. Cengvïen have several temples that are devoted to the best of the Cengvïen heroes and are dotted around their territories and differ depending on which tribe control which area. Cengvïens typical wear a head wrap and a mask carved from the skulls of a Jenukk or Meneni, these masks hold a great significance in Cengvïen culture and those that wear it just for show or those that are not Cengvïen are caught wearing the mask they are put to death, they also wear a cloak that covers their armor. Cengvïen culture is hyper focused on the art of war, they are always fighting with one another or one of their neighbors, the Cengvïen also practic polygyny and have many children. The Cengvïen inhabit mainly the desert but there are some hill tribes to the south and some in the forest in the north, the Cengvïen that inhabit the desert and hills are primarily nomadic but there are some towns dotted across their territories, these tribes are split into 9 different tribes that are constantly at war with one another, but they also tend to raid the Startouched territories. These “desert” Cengvïen are known for their ferocity in battle, there is a story of one Desert Cengvïen that took on a small army of Startouched, about a 100 or so, and kill them all with only a few scars to show for it. These Desert Cengvïen go through a ritual once they are of age where they are force to sit out in the sun for 3 days without food or water and after this they are made to eat a stange, halusangetic fruit and also drink it juices for one whole day before they are sent into the desert to either kill a Jennuk or Meneni, this trial has a 40% survival rate, but those that come back go on to be extremely strong warriors, it is believed those that come back with the skull of Jennuk are destined for greatness and will go on to become one of the great ancestor gods. The Northern Cengvïen that live in the forest have a more structured society, they are still split between different tribes but have unified in sense behind the strongest warrior out of all the tribes, which is usually one the chieftains but anyone can become the leader of all the tribes known as the Khan. The reason these tribes have decided to unify in such a manner is because they are surrounded by enemies that wise to kill the Cengvïen off or just want to take their lands(these enemies are the Ursings, Startouched, Chitis, and the Waifs), but none of them wanted to lose their distinct cultures and religions so they decided to follow who ever can beat every combatant in a 6 round gladiatorial tournament, while no one is supposed to die in the tourney, there is no real penalty for killing your opponent. These tribes have a ritual in which those that come of age they must travel to the mountain range to the south and reach the peak of the sacred mountain where a special plant grows, they must take this plant, using the correct method of removing the sacred plant, and then grind it up with a mortar and pestle to make a potion which they will drink and then meditate atop the summit until a young Meneni shows up(this mountain is a breeding ground for Meneni), the young Cengvïen will then have to make a choice, to either try and tame it or kill it, most end up having to kill the beast because of how aggressive it is, but those that are able to tame the beast are said to be chosen to lead their tribe to greatness, this trial has a 50% survival rate.
