Session VI: The Temple of Daimongog Report
General Summary
The session begins with a cut scene showing Grorr entering Berran's tent, escorted by two armed guards. The Captain is doing something involving writing on a parchment - an act that Grorr does not wish to seek more information on. The two discuss merging their armies together. Berran tells her why he cannot enter the city of Ona Lenora, so she requests that he leads them to the gates and then meets with them on the Northern-most side of the gates. The two create their alliance and make love to commemorate it.
The party wakes up to a beautiful morning. They have a nice breakfast made of eggs, bacon and black coffee. The only available spot to eat is at a table with a tiefling named Kog, who seems to be an outcast among the outcasts. They make friends with him and he joins their party. He's a warlock/druid who has promises of being quite the powerful entity among Grorr's men.
After breakfast everyone is called to the courtyard to take place in their first military operation. Berran and Grorr establish that Grorr's people are trying to earn a spot in the Brotherhood, and Berran's men are to earn a spot in the Order. Their first order of operations is to escort a caravan heading to Hernford; a small Elven settlement that had struck bad luck with their harvest. Out of fear of starvation through the winter, and a looming threat of bandits, the Brotherhood had sold Hernford a care package consisting of enough supplies for the winter, as well as heavily trained men to stay with them until the warm months.
The party had smooth sailing until they reached the top of the hill. Upon reaching the clearing, Medved kicks a tripwire but manages to stay on his feet. A goblin leaps out of the air at him, but he smashes its teeth out and slams him to the ground - killing him instantly.
In an instant, the caravan takes off down the pathway. Ramsteed tries to knock an enemy worg rider, who has now emerged from the tree line, into the water, but he slips and knocks himself over. Ram positions himself on the other side of the river, watching the caravan. Maeve summons her spiritual weapon and attacks one of the worg riders, slicing it in half as it tries to take off after the caravan. Medved locks in combat, but the worg rider and himself continue to miss each other.
Kog flash steps into a tree, using lightning lure to fry his opponent and kills him by dropping him down to the ground, snapping his spine in two as he lands on a large rock. One of the riders throws a javelin into the tree that Kog is perched on, which damages him but casts Hellish Rebuke to bounce the damage back on to the enemy. Maeve gets hit by a longsword attack, but manages to hit him back with sacred flame. Medved slices an opponent in half, throwing the torso at another opponent and knocks him over.
The battle ends as Kog flips out of the tree and eldritch blasts the opponent that has been knocked over. The last remaining enemy lays his weapons down and surrenders. Ram stabs him through the leg with his own javelin. The group interrogates him, using the command spell as well as thaumaturgy. They learn that the enemies have spies crawling through the camp, and that there is an enemy camp 20 minutes due north of the Brotherhood's camp.
Medved makes his way back to camp where he finds Grorr training the new recruits. He asks to have an audience with her. The others escort the caravan to the edge of the Witchwood, resulting in the mission being a success.
He tells her that they have encountered an ambush, and fills her in on the information they had gathered from their interrogation. She reveals the dead body of a goblin spy that she had impaled to death with her sword.
Grorr has Medved round up all of the hoblgoblins who have the crest of the Free Heathens. They tell them that they have many short distance sprinters who relay messages, and then Grorr lights them on fire with a torch and some oil.
The party returns to the camp. Ramsteed goes off to meditate, Kog investigates a feeling he has that a strong magical text is nearby, Maeve buys a book about Manticores and Medved returns to his tent to sleep after picking some flowers for Evangeline - who wishes to speak with him later. She eventually comes to his tent, telling him that she wishes for their help in finding the enemy camp. She wants their help in a sabotoge mission in order to give them a taste of their own medicine, thus setting up the next session.

Maeve gets black pearl (500 gc value), Kog gets thunderstones, Medved gets plate armor and Ram gets 40 silver coins.
