Session 5

With the knowledge of their earlier investigations and a new companion in tow, our heroes made their way to slay the hag for good. Before confronting her they peeked in on the dungeon neighbouring the temple. In one of the prisons, laying on top of a small layer of hay, they found a highly pregnant halfelf. Afraid that they would allert the hag to their pressence if they broke the woman free, they saw no other choice to leave her for the time being.

Sneaking into the hag's lair they found the bookcase covering the entrance to the basement pushed aside, revealing the staircase behind. Listening at the edge of the stairs they heard noices coming from below. Confident that the hag was downstairs our heroes went down - weapons drawn. At the far end of the basement stood a hooded figure with its back turned towards them. The sound of shattering glass was heard followed by the slamming of the bookcase. As the room quickly filled with green smoke, the hooded figure turned round to face them. The man facing them had long greasy hair and a grey beard, his eyes were white and milky - he was clearly not himself. The man tried stabbing Heskan with a dagger but was quickly defeated, his body disappeared beneath the green smoke and never reemerged. Meanwhile Vadania was trying her best to push away the bookcase, which was blocking their way out, with little luck. Our heroes stood at the ,,,,

Seeing no other way of escape Heskan cast a spell and burned a hole through the back of the bookcase. After climbing through the remains of the bookcase they found an unmovable rod which had been used to keep the barier in its place.
