Isaldoria is where the Solnean industrial revolution began and, even almost two centuries later, the nation still maintains its position as the leader of the industrial supply network despite challenges from others. As the original builders of the railway, Isaldorian engineers where instrumental in the construction of the Trans-Solnean Railway, a privilege they leveraged to great effect by expanding their contracts across the continent as the railway expanded. When the Krising War broke out, they spearheaded the transportation of raw materials into their factories before turning out the finished goods back to the front line. The boom in automobile popularity also originated from an Isaldorian manufacturer, the Escero Automotive Company, and their affordable Type-M automobile. All this has added up to make Isaldoria one of the wealthiest nations on the continent.   The financial success comes at a price, however. As the factories continue to be built and expanded upon across the nation, so do the standards of living steadily dip. Those who live within the cities do so in perpetual smog, often leading to lifelong debilitating conditions that begin at a young age. Outbreaks of diseases such as the dreaded smelter flu claim hundreds of thousands, but little to no care is offered by either the government or the corporations that induce such maladies. The poor standards of living have led to the rise of labor unions within Isaldorian cities, moreso than any other nation, often leading to tense standoffs between the workers and their employers. To further make an already volatile situation even more unstable, refugees from the Murnean States arrive in the cities in droves, willing to work for much less than native Isaldorians. During union stikes the companies will often just hire refugees to fill vacancies and fire the previous employee, causing anti-immigrant sentiment to rise.
