Era beginning/end

The Empire has grown and taken shape in a short amount of time.

The Empire is entering its budding stages for an age of enlightenment. Higher food security, less conflict between groups, and better tools bring a better standard of living for most. While a majority of the populace still work the fields, more and more have the chance to specialise. Warriors learn from the Kami themselves or journey into the world to practice their own skills against those from other clans, scholars have an unprecedented opportunity to study and share knowledge, craftsmen have better tools and better materials, and shugenja are able to create more formalised teachings for the younger generation.     As people specialise, so too does society begin to become more separated between those who have the opportunity to study to improve themselves, and those who do labor. Still overall, this is considered a turning point for the betterment of the Empire and its people.    Privately, Bayushi brings Shosuro to meet her twin-brother Shiba. While Shiba is polite in their interaction, Shosuro can tell that Shiba is aware that they are not quite what they seems to be. Before they return home to Bayushi's lands, Togashi suddenly appears before Bayushi in private, and warns her that Shosuro will have to follow their own, different path. Bayushi is angered by her brother's words and refuses to believe in the destiny he has foreseen, and leaves without a word. This causes a cold divide between the Scorpion and the Emperor.
