Era beginning/end

The myth of creation.

Before there was time, darkness, light, earth, or sea, there was only chaos of energy and elements. From this, came the Kotoamatsukami - the distinguished heavenly gods - the Three Gods Whose Names Cannot Be Spoken. With their existence, an order began to appear in the cosmos, as the elements no longer whirled in an uncontrolled maelstrom. The Three brought harmony and order to stand against the chaos, and thus Tengoku came to be. And they created two lights, a man and a woman, so that light and darkness too became defined. These two lights were invested with the powers of The Three and tasked with creating the world and naming everything in it.   The young man was Onnotangu, the Pale Light of the Moon, the perfect balance to his match the young woman, Amaterasu, the Bright Light of the Sun. Given their sacred duty by the Three Gods, the divine pair descended from the heavenly Tengoku to the realms below on a rainbow that brought life and light in their wake. This life-bringing light from their passing shone across all the Realms, and awakened the elemental spirits within the churning primordial turmoil.   In the Realm that would be known as Ningen-do, Amaterasu and Onnotangu separated earth from sea, created the sky above and its clouds and stars, and in their footsteps they left growing plants, rivers, and lakes. They raised mountains and hills, and to balance it out created valleys and dales. They created from their imagination animals and creatures to live in this world, and it was a time of wonder.
