Frillwalker

Introduction

Frillwalker is an additive race for those who have been corrupted by the power of the Frills of Reality, allowing them to safely traverse it and harness its energies.

Anatomy

This additive race doesn't affect appearances much by default, but can result in features such as parts of the body such as eyes looking like windows into the frills, or putting off a pattern of glow similar to scenes of the frills but only usually visible in the frillwalker's shadow.

Racial Abilities

Frillwalkers come with a standard kit of itnati energy magic, portal magic, and an inherent resistance to itnati energy strong enough to survive the ambient mana of the frills themselves. Their inherent resistence also forms a sort of barrier around their immediate person, which also protects their equipment. The barrier formed around their body, with practice, can be manipulated to envelope others for protection.
A key ability of frillwalker is the power to use their magic to teleport into the frills, either as a simple expenditure, or they can hold it as a channel, returning them to their previous location at the end of the channel. Skilled frillwalkers can instead appear at another location they could sense and chose before the teleportation began, and even more skilled frillwalkers can instead go to places they are simply very familiar with.
Frillwalkers are also able to infuse themselves with itnati energy, cloaking chosen parts of their body with it; this infusion can, with great mental focus, be converted into body enhancement magics, primarily speed and strength.
