After the birthday party, Alex and Hollyhock have a quiet last moment together.

Hollyhock, having done some deep reflection on her life and the possibility of reincarnation, stops taking her insulin, unknown to Alex. She hopes to be reincarnated in a stronger body so she could properly enjoy life. She dies from ketoacidosis right after Alex's birthday party.
