Zacharius Pitton was the first victim of the malign functional variant of the Shadow Suckers which began to appear on the human continents of Magicians' End towards the end of the 45th century APC.
He was "appointed" by the eldrich forces conducted through the Shadow Suckers to become the first leader of the cult of the Justice of the Shadows.

Zacharius Pitton was an actor with a small troupe of travelling players based in Tarris. Later, the members of the troupe would one by one be inducted into the Justice of the Shadows and would continue touring with a darker purpose than entertainment.
Mental Trauma
The first of the Darkest Umbrals, Zacharius was successful in recruiting his entire troupe of actors to the Justice of the Shadows and together they added some further useful members in the cities where they travelled. As time went on, however, he grew increasingly unstable. The mental pressures of the tasks the Shadow Suckers assigned became too much for him and his masters in the Dark Domains lost trust in him.
