The Great Story Fair

The Great Story Fair is a gathering of writers, readers and booksellers which takes place in the city of Katrapetch in Punjuki, every ten years.

History

The first Story Fair was held in 4150 APC in the age of the Second Popular Ascendancy. It was held in Elvagril Park, south of the Jold and for many years this was the sole site, but after the rise of the Third Popular Ascendancy, the Fair became too popular to be restricted to one location, and the Confluence Commons, north of the Jold, was then added as a second venue for the expanded festival.

Participants

Interested readers and writers attend the fair from all over the world. Famous and aspiring writers alike will give readings from their new works to eager audiences, often holding back new material to be heard for the first time at the fair.   Books of all kinds can be bought and sold at the fair and there is a specialist market in rare and expensive volumes.
