The Eclipsed
The Eclipsed were the inner council of the Justice of the Shadows, responsible for discipline and logistics under the leadership of the Darkest Umbral. According to doctrine, true leadership came only from the Dark Domains and the eclipsed were merely charged with carrying out their orders. In reality it was not so simple. The Ancient and Glorious did not exactly understand the workings of the world they were attempting to conquer and they relied on the knowledge and understanding of the eclipsed and of the darkest umbral to correct this deficiancy. This meant that the Justice of the Shadows and its leaders had a good deal of autonomy over practical matters.
