Talbot Devon

Talbot Devon is considered to be one of the finest painters in the late seventeenth and early eigthteeth century. Although a native of Kingcardine, he moved to Blyperrin for ideological reasons in 1687 AF and supported the aims of the Low Armies, travelling with them and producing many fine works of art, both grand and intimate which reflected the life of the soldiers on campaign.
