Sultan Orhan Osman (a.k.a. Orhan the Just)

Sultan Orhan IV is the supreme ruler of the Caliphate of Neo Byzantium in the realm of Earth Baroque. He has been in charge for over thirty years, making him the longest serving of the current rulers of the four major European powers. Generally thought to be a shrewed operator, under his management, Neo Byzantium has consolidated its borders and successfully withstood attempts by the Sovereign Domain of Tartaria to take some of their territory around the Black Sea. He has also improved relations with the Anglo-Franco Empire, from which both powers benefit.
Sultan Orhan IV is unmarried, although he is known to keep an extensive harem and to have fathered several children who now have places at court. However, in the event of his death, the legal successor will be an orphaned nephew who is currently serving as an administrator in Jerusalem.
