Simon Roland

Simon Roland was the engineer and amateur scientist at Anoomenon, who in 1050 AF discovered how to achieve a controlled and limited opening of ancient fusion taps to produce small glowing balls of warp transmitted sun light. These rapidly went from being a curiosity into a useful form of portable lighting and heating and they gave the Shining City its new name.
