Powers

The Powers is a term used by the Stability Council to refer to an unknown number of entities scattered throughout the discontinuum, who are aware of its structure and are known to operate in multiple realms.
Most Powers seem to be based in deep archetypes far beyond the frontier or in other stranger types of realm which cannot be easily characterised. Occasionally some have been known to visit or operate from within an evolution.
It is often unclear what the agenda of specific Powers might be, but they certainly possess differing goals and attitudes and they contend with one another. Some seem to dabble in the politics of evolutions and at least some actively seek to spread their own Laws of Form and subvert other realms.
Because the strength and motivation of the Powers is often obscure, the Stability Council is always very cautious in dealings with all of them and especially the Major Powers. This is an important reason for the secret nature of much of its work.
