Session 3

dBegin writing The party for this session was me(Tarfu), Coleoptera McCartney, Ivy, Phumton Zaur and Stefn Powerlimb. Our goal was to travel east where a deer monster was reported and discover anything we could about the monster, especially if it was hostile or not. Throughout our journey Ivy helped us gather food to feed ourselves.   The first part of our journey wasn't anything dangerous but we did discover a small stone circle that appeared magical thanks to detect magic from Phumton. When we tried to move a rock, Coleoptera used this talent in psionic to hear crying from the stone. After some looking around we found that one stone is missing and went to look for it. Coleoptera and Phumton managed to return the stone and we found it was a gathering of nature spirits. As thanks they gave Coleoptera a blessing and we went on our way.   As we continued we came across a huge salt flat, far larger then what should be natural. We saw a

After meeting with the others, we traveled north west and the first thing we saw a stone with a face craved on it. We didn't know what to do with it so we continued on. We gathered some apples before making camp. I tried to season the food by finding some wild herbs but they gave me diarrhea in the morning. Daag created a mud wall with a moat with the mold earth spell to protect the camp while I kept watch.   During breakfast Dergmann spotted a figure with a green hat in the forest. We decided to try to follow them and came across an odd stone structure which was three stones stacked on top of each other. The stones were stacked vertically, with 1 small piece of glass between two large rocks. After some exploring we found fresh tracks that appeared humanoid and a stone slab with a rune mold in it. Dergmann put the slab into his bag of holding and we continued to follow the tracks. We followed the tracks south for 8 hours but we couldn't find the track's owner and decided to return to our main path and abandoned the tracks.   Once we returned to our last campsite Daag used his familiar, a butterfly, to fly above us and to scout our location. He found two notable landmarks, a large lake and a large tree. We decided to head towards the lake first to refill our waterskins. When we arrived we saw fish lived in the lake and attempted to catch some fish. When we tried to fish normally, the only one that caught anything was Eve. After that Daag used chromatic orb to electrocute the water to catch fish.   After stocking up on food and water, we headed towards the giant tree. When we arrived we found it was guarded by 4 dire wolves. Daag suggested we hide in the trees and bait the wolves over with the fish we caught. When the wolves came close enough, Dergmann emptied the bag of holding on top of one of the wolves. The slab came out and crushed it under its weight. The other three wolves were killed easily with us staying in the trees and raining ranged attacks on them. When we finished off the wolves we started to explore the large tree which turned out to be the wolves' den. We explored the den and managed to find a magical stone ring which was given to Daag, a large lump of iron ore and various gems and jewelry which we sold and everyone got 26 gold and 50 silver. Daag gave me 50 silver for the ring. In addition we found a map which lead us to a grave which had a rose covered scythe on it. I hold the scythe but it said "No magic" and the rose on it withered away. Eve picked up the scythe and was able to use it so we let her have it.   When we returned to town, we sold the jewelry and used the iron we found to cast it into the mold of the rune we found.   Rewards Granted:
  • Magical stone ring
  • Magical scythe
  • 26 gold 50 silver each
  • Few apples and fish
