Aresport

Formerly Gutterport but 20 years ago named Aresport. Is a cambria port city often known for its desolate conditions and less than reputable trade and port operations. While definately considered a viable transport location it has only recently begun to pick up in reputation for the fastest ships and the most daring explorers. Often the coastal location where those wishing to explore the whispering desert seek out guidance. Home to now popular formerly upstart senator Alistair Corvius.
Once seedier than Jadar the streets of Aresport are now just a hair cleaner and people are far less likely to be separated from their purse through violence.  Instead many shops are in that place looking for a way to get your coin.  The ports have had the most work to accommodate for the increased amount of traders that come in.  There are also other "traders" (read as pirates) most famously the Wicked Wench and its crew dock there frequently offloading items that fall outside the legal bounds of trade.  The inner city is still pretty maze like, but they have at least put up signs so it can be navigated by the various visitors.
Rumors are spread far and wide that Aresport became the "head" of the thieves' guild shortly after Mr. Corvius came into his senate seat.  Though that is a concern only to the connected and the conspirators.  The denizens of Aresport do their best to ignore these rumors as the city is finally on it way out of the massive downturn the former leader put them in.  Even more so now that the are finally starting to make real money despite that a good portion of it is black market trade.
