Tabaxi

Alignment

Tend towards chaotic alignments, as they let impulse and fancy guide their decisions. They are rarely evil, with most of them driven by curiosity rather than greed or other dark impulses.

Tabaxi

Ability Score Increase Dex +2, Cha +1
Size Medium
Speed 30ft

Darkvision: Can see 60ft in dim light as if in bright light and in darkness as if in dim light. In darkness all colours look grey.   Feline Agility: Your reflexes and agility allow you to move with a burst of speed. When you move on your turn in combat you can double your speed until the end of your turn. Once you use this trait you can't use it again until you move 0 feet on one of your turns.   Cat Claws: Because of your claws you have a climbing speed of 20ft. In addition, the claws are natural weapons which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your strength modifier, instead of bludgeoning damage.   Cat Talent: Proficiency in Perception and Stealth skills.

Languages. Common, one other language of choice.

Wondering Outcasts

Most tabaxi remain in their distant homelands in small tight clans where they hunt for food, craft goods and (mostly) keep to themselves.   Some are too curious to remain in one place and are compelled to leave their clan and travel, searching for stories, artifacts, lore, etc. They usually return home in their elder years to share their findings with their clan.

Barterers of Lore

Tabaxi value knowledge above material things. Gathering wealth is like packing - important for survival but not worth fussing over.   Although wealth holds little attraction for tabaxi, they do have an insatiable desire to find and inspect ancient relics, magical items and other rare objects. They enjoy the story that comes with the history of the item.

Fleeting Fancies

Wandering tabaxis are mercurial creatures, trading one obsession and passion for the next as the whim strikes. Things only remain intriguing when they hold secrets. A Tabaxi could spend months plotting to steal an item only to trade it the next day. They may make extensive notes and memorize every facet of the gem before passing it on.
