Garden Gnomes
As the barrier between the mortal and fae realms began to weaken, some beings were altered. Garden gnomes are a new subspecies of gnome, born of the wild magic of the fae. They possess an innate magical talent, and are predisposed toward trickery and mayhem. Though many garden gnomes may lead boring lives as desk clerks and lawyers and the like, most end up living lives of crime. This being the case, most places refuse to employ them, though they do make great entertainers. Many of the best-known bards, comedians, and royal fools over the last fifty years have been gnomish.
