Moonchildren
Bastion of law. Bastion of order. You are a Moonchild - you inherit the power to keep chaos checked. Wield it with zeal.
Effect
Although the Sun is broken the Moons yet live on. The magic of a Moonchild hinges on their connection with one of the two moons present in the Cradle. Such connections are established by Shepherds - the last of Gods angels still alive. Shepherds bestow power upon the Moonchildren - allowing them to draw on the power of the moon.
The power within the moons will never be as powerful as that within the Sun or the Dream. However it is a lot safer. Magical effects surrounding healing, protection, honesty, and order are simple to will into existence and cause no harm to the child.
Side/Secondary Effects
Due to the nature of celestial bodies and magic - Moonchildren, lunar power, Shepherds and anything adjacent is weak to Solar Magic. A Moonchild's defenses will always go down to a spell cast by a Starspawn.
Manifestation
Moonchildren have an element of the night in them. Not the dark, frightful night. The beautiful moonlit night. The Moons and their offspring were originally created as law keepers for the material plane and Moonchildren reflect this. They are embodiments of order and fairness. Zealous warriors for peace and serenity. Their magic comes like a beam of moonlight exposing crimes thought hidden by the dark.
Source
Moonchildren draw their power from the moons. Once a Shepherd has deemed their soul worthy they will always have this power till the day they die. It ebbs and flows with the workings of the moons but always remains potent. Fighting a Moonchild during a lunar convergence is a terrifying ordeal.
There are two moon in the cradle referred to as the Eldest and the Youngest. The Eldest is larger, slower and thought to be more potent. It is not known which of these two moons the children draw their power from. There has only been speculation.
Firstly only those deemed worthy by the Shepherds have access to this power. Whatever the secret is to summoning the moon it can only be communicated from soul to soul. Shepherd to child. Even if a Moonchild wished to explain it to a mere man. The man would never comprehend such complex cosmic workings.
Furthermore the Moon is only capable of conjuring certain effects. Primarily it abhors chaos and suffering. Thus it is difficult for a Moonchild to use their powers with ill intent. Although not impossible.
