The Conclave

The Conclave is a council made up of the most experienced witchers and mages. It was founded by sorceresses in 1280 who hoped to address the increasing rate of new monsters that appeared after the Wild Hunt's invasion.

Overview

Known goals of the Conclave include:

• Study the new monsters and learn their potential weaknesses.
• Help establish new witcher schools in order to combat these new monsters.
• Help mages escape the witch hunts ravaging through the north.
• Unite mages and witchers

Very few nations approve of The Conclave, and many common folk believe the entire thing to be fake. Members are kept anonymous, and their hideouts are always temporary. What can't be denied though the gradual increase of new and unique witchers. Stories have spread of witchers having access to powerful spells, the ability to shapeshift, and more. There's also been records of non-human witchers, which was unheard of until recently.
