Trolls

There are a variety of trolls on the continent of the Seven Silver Circle.  Most common folk sigh at the sight of one of them, knowing them as peculiar collectors and builders that have a tendency to adopt random bridges and buildings as their own. Trolls in general are not violent, but large dumb brutes who don't know their own strength and protect their architecture ward at all costs.  They are equally seen as boons and nuisance to most people. Free laborers who keep their structures in top shape,  dangerous if they feel anyone threaten the structure.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Most trolls weigh close to 1,000 lbs (454 kg) and have regenerative properties in their blood that allows them to heal rapidly, even reattaching severed limbs in minutes. Many of them have rocks or crystals growing out of their skin. All trolls are incredibly strong and have magic in their blood, though few can access it beyond mending their wards and growing mushrooms.

Biological Traits

Trolls, when left alone, are able to live as long as a dwarf, often spending centuries taking care of structures that would otherwise fall to ruins. However most are killed in ignorance before their first century.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Trolls are scavengers, able to eat almost anything, but love eating mushrooms. Even the trolls on the highest peaks in the Spine of the World, often have a cave somewhere where they grow their own mushrooms.

Average Intelligence

Trolls are always the village idiot. They have a less then average intelligence though this is often ofset by their kind childish hearts.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Most trolls have perfect sight in the dark, akin to dwarves, but see well in bright light as well. They also have impecable sense of smell, particularly for mushrooms.

DM Notes: Use the base troll statistics for your troll, but consider them Neutral in Alighnement and give them a notable bonus to crafting or engineering to maintain their chosen ward.

Conservation Status

Trolls are considered protected by the same rights as most citizens in the Seven Silver Circle, though most people see them more as intelligent pets then people.
