Phylactery

Phylactery is a magical storage made to hold a soul. They are typically made by liches intended to hold their own souls as part necromancy rituals used for immortality. Most phylacteries are made with evil intentions, though there is one known instance in 1963 1ER where it was used to preserve the soul of the Elvin king to keep the Drow enemy from cursing his soul. It is unclear whether or not, the kings soul was able to return after.
