Manadh, the Darkened Peninsula
The Darkened Peninsula lies in the northwest of the continent of the Silver Circle. Once a nation like the others ruled by a powerful dragon, its grandeur is now a distant memory. The great smoking volcano on the northwest tip of the peninsula, which scholars call Dragon’s Doom, dominates most of this land constantly spewing lava and ash. The closest thing to a unifying government is the City-State of Samara along the southern edge of the peninsula, nestled among the safety of the Marble Canyons. Cannibalistic Giantkins roam down from the north ruled by the twisted Cult of the Devourer, constantly pushed back by the forces of Samara. Strife marks this land and its people’s persistence to survive is tested at every turn. Dark secrets and amazing treasures lay in wait for those brave enough to seek them. This is a land that needs heroes. This is a land that needs adventurers.
Eruption of Dragon's Doom, 3990
When Dragon's Doom erupted, spewing debris and ash across the continent, the eruption lasts for six days, killing untold amounts and wiping out many small villages and towns, and reigniting many assumed dormant volcanoes in the Spine. Manadh bears the brunt of the initial eruption, wiping out large parts of the territory within the first few hours from debris and choaking volcanic ash. Within the first three days, it is estimated to kill half the population in the territory as well as much of the wildlife. A large portion of the Scorched Ilse managed to survive through the regularly maintained bunkers, though they did not escape the mayhem that followed with the scarcity of resources.
