Clan Ausk

The Orc Clan of Ausk has a storied history as magic users and beast tamers within the Nation of Hakkak. It was a Clan Ausk shaman who developed the method of breeding giant herd animals that are a cornerstone of Hakkaks economy. It has also produced many of the nation's finest magic users of all stripes. The in-marriage of Hero of Gaz'Roc Civil War, Lilac Smitherwood, caused a division within the clan as she and her children challenged the traditions. After the death of her husband and an attempt to oust her by the clan elders, she and her children left the clan of her own accord and many clan members went with her. They went on to found the Clan Mir Vras. Although this caused initial tension, their relations cooled and they found each other unlikely allies in the political push for a peace treaty with Arbane. Since Clan Mir Vras's betrayal of Hakkak in 3990 however, this alliance has ceased and Clan Ausk is still making up for the association amongst the other clans.
